What happens if my electric company stops serving customers? powertochoose.com/en-us/Content/Resource/FAQ The PTC FAQs area says, “You will not be without electricity. In most cases, your electric company will give you 30 days' advance notice to give you time to select a new provider.”
I don’t have this kind of experience to share. Recently, I remember I did receive a letter from a previous provider saying they’re transferring to another company. Since I had already switched away, I recycled that letter. Sorry that I don’t remember which one it is.
