I just made a TWO-STEP-switch on 12/30/2020.
STEP-1:
Switched to “Frontier Power 3”.
Date of Service: 01/02/2021

Switched to “Gexa Choice Secure 6”.
Date of Service: 03/30/2021

Combination of 9(3+6) months would cruise to 9/30/2021.
Connection Fee of $0.15 would let me choose the exact switch date.

“The residential customer can switch without incurring an early termination charge if the switch is no earlier than 14 days before the contract expiration date provided in the notice.”
